Yes! Yes you can. Any client who wishes to add dry hairstyling and professional makeup absolutely can for just $100 more. Hair styling is dry styling meaning you’ll need to come with clean, blown out hair and styling will consist of curling wand styling. If you have curly hair, we suggest you come with your hair ready. 

Sessions are done at our CyFair area studio located near Hwy 6 and 290.

The session is 30 minutes without hair and makeup. 

If you choose hair and makeup the session will last about 2 hours. 

Once you book you will receive our Prep Guide specifically for the 40 Over 40 Project, you will be able to choose from our wardrobe closet or you can follow our Style Guide and create your own. If you choose to come hair and makeup ready, styling tips will be included in the guide. 

If you want to! If you wish to purchase additional images, let Chrissy know at your session and we will schedule a reveal date for you to return to the studio to review and purchase additional images. We do not do online galleries so you will need to return to the studio. 

We have a special curated package for 40 Over 40 sessions that are discounted from our normal studio pricing. Packages will start at $250.

You’ll return to the studio in 2-3 weeks to view your edited images and make your additional purchase. 

If you are not purchasing additional images, you’ll receive your prints by the end of the month. For clients who purchase additional images, you will receive your images within 7-14 days of your viewing session. 

Once we have photographed 40 women, we will submit to galleries for exhibition and celebration. We have one in the Houston Art District considering our project but it is not finalized. We will announce to participants as soon as we have secured a gallery or venue. 

You! Your guests, and anyone who wants to come celebrate as see the woman who paved the path for other women and their incredible stories. 

We will have an enlarged portrait of you and a plaque with a snippet of your story.

You will have the option to buy the enlarged print that went on display or it will remain property of Portrait by Chrissy and displayed in our studio. 

Once you book, you will be given access to a Client Portal. In the portal, all the information in regards to your session will be in there along with a form where you can follow prompts to help craft your story. If you don’t need prompts, there’s a section for you to write out your story.

We get it, life happens! As long as you give us 72 advanced hours notice, you are allowed one reschedule.

Yes, please do! 

There is no maximum. As long as you are a woman over 40 you can participate in the 40 Over 40 Project.
